Shore home questions, answered

Winter home watch, property management, and shore home care in Margate, Ventnor, Longport and Ocean City, from a firefighter-owned local company.

What is winter home watch?

A weekly in-person check of your shore home while you are away for the season. Fantazzia's Co. walks the property inside and out, looks for leaks, heat failures, storm damage, break-ins and anything else that goes wrong in an empty house, and sends you a written report with photos after every visit.

What does a home watch visit include?

Every weekly visit covers heat and water checks, doors and windows, signs of leaks or pests, storm impact outside, and anything you ask us to watch. You get a photo report after each visit, so you see your house every week even from Philadelphia or North Jersey.

What does home watch cost in Margate?

Every house is different, so Chris prices each one in person. Call or text (609) 287-2738 and you will have your number in one conversation. The in-home consultation is free.

What happens if you find a problem at my house?

We fix it. Fantazzia's Co. is the only local home watch that is also a full property services company: our own crew, our own dumpsters, demolition, repairs and hauling, most problems handled inside 48 hours. Other services find the problem and hand you a list of contractors. One call to us covers the whole thing.

What towns do you cover?

Margate, Ventnor, Longport, Atlantic City, Ocean City, Somers Point, Linwood, Northfield and Egg Harbor Township.

Who owns Fantazzia's Co.?

Chris Fantazzia, a firefighter with the Margate City Fire Department. The company is family-owned and has been serving the shore since 2020. Chris answers the phone himself.

Why does an empty shore house need checking?

January is when pipes burst, and an unwatched house can run water for weeks before anyone notices. Storms take siding and shingles. Small leaks become mold. And some homeowner policies expect regular checks on a vacant home, so it is worth reading your policy. A weekly visit catches problems while they are still small.

How often should an empty house be checked?

Weekly is the standard we keep. A month between visits is four weeks of things going wrong unwatched.

Do you only do home watch?

No. Property management for year-round, vacation and rental homes, commercial property management, handyman and maintenance work, contractor and construction management, demolition, cleanouts and junk removal, and snow removal. One company, one call.

Do you handle rentals and Airbnb properties?

Yes. Turnovers, inspections, maintenance between guests and emergency response for rental and vacation properties.

Are you available in emergencies?

24/7. Storm coming, storm just left, or something already went wrong: call (609) 287-2738 any hour.

How do I get started?

Call or text (609) 287-2738. Tell Chris about your house. That is the whole process.

Still have a question?

Call or text Chris. That is the whole process.
